Workshops
My workshops are a place to learn something new, remember something you had forgotten, and re-connect to yourself and others through creating, moving, and playing. All workshops build upon my clinical training in somatic and trauma-informed therapy and my training as a yoga teacher.
Intuitive Drawing: Making as Meditation
Learn how to use art as a tool to move through emotions, decompress, and connect with the imaginative process (rather than product). In this hands-on workshop, participants will sample a series of exercises that spark creativity and deepen focus. Using guided meditation, journal prompts, "intuitive drawing"*, and community discussion, participants will tune in to their creativity and gain new methods for self-care, expression and introspection. Designed for all experience levels and for anyone seeking more joy, affirmation, inspiration or connection.
Prayer: Poem of The Body
Join as we write poems and non-denominational prayers as affirmations, spells and reminders for when we are struggling. In this workshop we will use guided meditations, movement, and look at examples of written and visual work that speak to receiving comfort in times of pain. Designed for all levels and spiritual backgrounds.
Restorative Yoga
Restorative yoga classes are centered around slowing down and engaging the parasympathetic nervous system. All yoga classes are taught through a trauma-informed lens and are focused on finding safety, autonomy, and connection to self. These classes are generally low to the ground and utilize the support of props for maximum relaxation to turn inward.
