BIG HEART ENERGY X ZONE 3 ART SCRIM (2019)
While I am no longer working in this illustrative style, this project holds a special place in my artistic development as my first large scale installation that showed me I could be a public artist. It is a reflection of my values and love of relationships - I get to see my friends on my commute to work and all of Boston has to see my proclamation of love!
ON VIEW NEXT TO THE GROVE ON NORTH HARVARD STREET
This series of illustrations seeks to capture the abundance of happiness the artist feels for people closest to her in life. Each panel portrays the individuals in their largest and most gentle forms; the bright colors and patterns demonstrate the unique energy each one of them exudes.
Who are the people in your life that make you feel fully seen? Who are the people in your life you send voice memos to in panic and in delight?
This series is my way of saying to my friends, thank you for loving me and thank you for letting me love you expansively. These are the people in my life that remind me of the magnitude of the world, the people I am proud of when I see them doing hard things. When I look at them I see power beyond belief; I see comfort, safety, and joy. We exist in a world that constantly makes us prove our worth – but with my friends I am loved simply for being.
