1:1 workshop that can cover one of the following topics:
Support with Artistic Practice (can range from direct feedback on work, developing a consistent art-making practice, creative resourcing practices, or finding your style)
Navigating Social Media as an artist/educator/creative (tools and tips for graphic design, sharing your work, and mental health)
Support planning a workshop (facilitation tools, support structuring and designing a workshop)
Creating rituals that honor your body’s needs to help manage stress and nourish your creativity
Private Yoga Class
While these workshops will touch on mental health and self-care these workshops should and cannot substitute for therapy.
One workshop slot a month will be FREE for BIPOC artists and creatives to sign-up or get on the waitlist. Deborah also offers sliding scale options and trades/exchanges. If interested in either of these options email e.deborah.johnson@gmail.com.
Intuitive Drawing Workshop
NEXT WORKSHOP DATE: APRIL 30TH @ 2PM-3:30PM EST
A space to use art as a tool to move through emotions, decompress, and connect with the imaginative process (rather than product). Using guided meditation, journal prompts, "intuitive drawing"*, and community discussion, participants will tune in to their creativity and gain new methods for self-care, expression, and introspection.
Materials needed: Please bring paper, any kind of coloring tools (i.e. colored pencils, markers, crayons, or watercolors), and an open mind!
